Texas Ale Project is breaking new ground in search for the next great craft beer to carry the Texas Ale Project name. Walt Disney once said that “…the heart and soul of a company is innovation and creativity…”, and we thrive on fresh ideas. The new research and development project dubbed Texas Ale Project’s R & D Series is scheduled to release May 28th, 2018. Customers can expect a rotation in limited quantities of innovative craft beers on draft and in six-packs of 12-ounce cans. The first beer to kick off this series is Hawaiian Roadrunner, a Tropical Blonde Ale. Drawing inspiration from the “free-range” chickens that roam the Hawaiian Islands, this tropical blonde pours golden-straw, with a thin white head. The nose is a mixture of refreshing tropical fruits from a combination of guava and pineapple added to the beer. At 5.0% Alcohol by Volume and 28 IBUs, Hawaiian Roadrunner is one that will sweep you away to the Hawaiian Islands for a virtual summer vacation.
The vision for the new R&D Series is that innovation can come from anywhere. “We’re encouraging our staff, our distributors, and customers alike to send in their creative ideas for future beers in this series,” says Kat Thompson, Founder and CEO. The signature presented on the first can is of Founder and Brewer, Brent Thompson, but Texas Ale Project’s plan is that any individual’s signature could be on the next can. “The signature represents someone that made a major contribution to the creative development of an R&D series beer. We want this to be a fun, collaborative effort,” adds Kat. R&D ideas can be submitted via the contact page on the Texas Ale Project website. Rest assured though, ideas will be vetted for not just innovation, but also taste, appearance, aroma, and overall genuine quality as this is a continuation of Texas Ale Project’s mission to provide high quality, great tasting craft beers that we take pride in.
The Reveal Party for the R&D Series takes place on Friday, June 1st 2018 from 4-9pm at the brewery in the Dallas Design District. We’ll sip on some Hawaiian Roadrunner and other great beers. . This party is sure to ruffle some feathers as well as taste buds with real chicken racing, live music and Cautes Kitchen Fish tacos and ceviche.
Then, the Official Release Party for Hawaiian Roadrunner will be held at Truck Yard on Friday, June 8th starting at 4 pm. See you all there! The tropical beer will also be available in cans at many grocery, liquor and convenience stores in the DFW area as well as sold on tap at local retailers and the brewery’s T.A.P. Room while supplies last.
